Mandy – Adopted 02/2016

Mandy is a sweet 8 year old red and white female that craves affection. We have 3 other dogs in the home ( 2 Corgi’s and a Jack Russel) and she generally gets along well with them all. She does have some issues with our passive Corgi Prim. She has a jealous streak and when Prim attempts to get some loving from foster Mommy or Daddy she will growl and bark at him. She is easily redirected. She does not appear to have food aggression but will get possessive if we humans are eating and the dogs are hoping for crumbs. Her previous living environment involved another dog as well as some pigs which all cohabitated together in the back yard. We feel that some of her behaviors have been due to lack of affection and having to compete for food. She has made great progress in the short time that she has been in our home. She is housebroken and also does well in a crate, however, she would rather not be crated. She also travels well, and does not like thunder or loud noises. Mandy sleeps in bed with my husband and I along with our other furbabies without issue.
