Pookie’s Rescuefest 2014

Monday, January 27th, 2014

We had a great time at Pookie’s Rescuefest 2014.  Thanks to Julie, “Ashley & Lola”, “Christy & Cooper”, Kristen and Scooter for coming out and representing Sunshine Corgi Rescue at the tent.  Thanks to Janice for stopping by.  It’s so great when we can all meet one another in person.  We also want to thank everyone who stopped by the tent and spoke with us.  It was great to share Corgi stories, educate one another and just have an enjoyable time talking about our favorite breed.  Lola actually was picked up by her forever home here.  Live well Lola.  We also want to thank Geof who helped load the van and with tent set up.

Christy, Cooper and Julie have the tent set up and are ready to talk Corgi.

Scooter looking great representing SCR.

Geof, part of the muscle that helped us get setup. The work is done, now it’s time to relax.

Thanks to everyone who came by and visited us at the Dogtoberfest event in Wesley Chapel today.  It was great to meet you all and see some of our alumni.

Three of our fosters made it to the event: Lola, Princess and Eddie.

Our new display board courtesy of Ashley’s hard work.

Thanks to Kitty, Ashley and her helpers for representing SCR at Dogtoberfest. The booth looks great!

Pool Party benefits Sunshine Corgi Rescue

Saturday, October 6th, 2012

Fun in the PoolOn a very sunny September 15th, there was a Pool Party organized by the Central Florida Corgis meetup group to benefit Sunshine Corgi Rescue.  Central Florida Corgis’ organizers Robin and Jenny arranged the pool party at Happy Paws Pet Resort in Orlando Florida.  Happy Paws generously donated the collected pool fees to Sunshine Corgi Rescue.

Mikey doing the doggie paddle.

Mikey is really enjoying the pool.  It must be those swimming sessions that makes Mikey look like a pro doing his doggy paddle.

Arnie may not be much of a swimmer but he definitely knows how to cheer everyone on from the pool side.

Sunshine Corgi Rescue would like to thank Central Florida Corgis and Happy Paws for their work in planning the event, providing a wonderful facility, and the donation to help Corgis in need.
